Pratt & Whitney Includes New Kiosk for Universal Supermicrometer Models 501 & 504

Bloomfield, CT, July 19, 2005 – Pratt & Whitney Universal Supermicrometer Models 501 & 504 now include an all-in-one touch screen kiosk/computer system with 15" LCD. T he Universal Supermicrometer also includes GageCal®, Pratt & Whitney’s Windows based measurement and control software. GageCal has predefined application screens and automatically enters tolerances for various types of measurements such as blocks, rings, plugs, and threads. Dimensional data can be transferred to Word, Excel, or your favorite spreadsheet for creating a calibration certificate.

Other standard features include: part temperature compensation, built-in internal/external force system, 2” direct reading range, and a large support table that can act as a soak plate. With 10 micro-inch accuracy (1 micro-inch resolution), the Universal Supermicrometer is capable of measuring your precision parts as well as external threads, plug gages, pin gages, discs, length standards, thread wires, and ring gages at a standard price.
